Duathlon Progress
Damn, I am really short of money. Unless I can come up with at least S$1500 by May 2008, I pretty much cannot take part in the duathlon. In fact, I pretty much gave up hope about taking part next year. Instead, I am thinking I will just go down to volunteer, see how the thing goes, and save up about S$3000 to get a proper triathlon bike and other tri gear and take part in the race in 2009. This also gives me more time to train up.
Duathlon training isn’t as easy as I thought. The Run-Bike transition was still pretty manageable, I have done quite a few practices. But the Bike-Run transition is really tough. I did it once, and I found it almost impossible to run even 1KM. A search online tells me that this is a fairly common problem, and can only be overcame with regular training (very aptly named brick training).
I am sorry, but I really cannot resist a plea for donations. If you are reading this and you got some money to spare, please, PLEASE donate some to my Paypal account. (by clicking the button on the right sidebar). Your donation will go a long way in supporting my efforts. Also, if you are in Singapore and you got a road bike or a tri bike that you are willing to let go for a cheap price, please leave your contact details under the comments section. Thanks
Till next time,
cheers
