As part of a recovery ride today, I went to watch the sunset at Seletar Dam. Most unfortunately, the weather was not that great - rather cloudy, so I wasn’t able to get great snaps.
Glimpses of the sun in between the clouds
The actual sunset. Can’t see much thanks to the clouds.
That’s the Seletar Reservoir on one side of the Seletar Dam
And Malaysia on the other side. (in the far distance)
Great view along Seletar Dam huh?
And here’s a truly inspirational video of Team Hyot, the father and son team who competes in Ironman races every year. After watching the video, you would feel like you are able to accomplish anything.
I have just witnessed the most magnificent sunset in my entire life today. I was on my bike, and had just U-turned at the end of the Seletar Dam, one beautiful long stretch of road with an unblocked view of the sea facing Malaysia on one side and the Seletar Reservoir on the other. There I was, tucked in aero position, enjoying the beautiful sunset over the sea while spinning hard on the pedals on the last 4KM stretch home.
It’s the little things that make up the beauty of multi-sports races. (too bad I did not have any chance to take pictures) Such a view makes me want to wake up at 0630 tomorrow on a lazy Sunday morning just to enjoy a beautiful sunrise.
